• The Kingdom of Midrvegr has a long term shift in power which results in a renewal of an earlier religion while new historical discoveries brings a fascination with Midvegr culture and history into popular fashion.
• As the power of Emlyn begins to dissipate, the practice of witchcraft, along with other forms of spiritual and nature-based worship asserts itself, along with the romanticism of occult practices.
• So 1914 to 1945, Lets call it the 30 year war, or something based on that which sounds niftier, and we can claim what made it so unique was the discovery of spell weaving!! We can say that the practice of spell weaving had started a century or so earlier (industrial revolution), but it would be a cabal of Kraestrat magicians that would find a way to advance the art so far that it threatened the existence of the dragons, (nuclear weapons) and the dragons took every one of those grimoires away from us.
