A sound unheard like any other, and loud enough to drown out the voice of the elder dragons ripped through the sky from far beyond the sea, sending shockwaves throughout the land, and causing massive tidal waves that even engulfed smaller fishing villages and some major cities along the shores of every kingdom.  The sound ripped through the skies shredding clouds, killing hundreds of thousands of birds knocked senseless from the skies and then followed by a rain of ash and darkness. The rain of ashes lasted for 7 days and 7 nights. At the end of the 7th night when the sun rose, the sky was tainted red, and the day is remembered as '''''The Red Dawn'''''. What makes these events even more unique, was the discovery of spell weaving. Nearly a century before the events of The Red Dawn,  unknown forces near the shores of Kraestrat caused a disturbance in the oceans. Many sailors and captains believed this to be the works of the angry Sea God Neptune (change name as seen fit) lashing out at humans for having killed one of his mermaid servants whom he cared for deeply. The wrath of the angry sea god was followed by sightings of the Kraken and Whales the size of 20 ships strung together plowing through helpless vessels. When the mortals of the land challenged the God by calling him out with their gathered armies on the shores of '''(INSERT SHORE OF COUNTRY NAME)''' and angry god would only roar in anger and clap his hands together with such might that 50 foot  tsunami waves shot up from the ocean carving their way toward the shores and the fleeing soldiers. Yet, resilience showed that mortals we're not going to give up so easily and inspired by the acts of the druids decades before them, every single mage gathered on the shores gathered their strength their voices amplified by magic roared even louder than the raging sea itself "Dìonaidh balla na talmhainn sinn!!", and as they thrust their staves into the ground the earth began to tremble and suddenly shot up from the ground in front of the armies creating an earthen barrier that bore the brunt of the mad gods wrath. Thus the first record of Spell Weaving was recorded. However, centuries later,  it would be a cabal of Kraestrat magicians that would find a way to advance the art so far that it threatened the existence of the dragons, (nuclear weapons) and the dragons took every one of those grimoires away from us.

At the end of the 7th night when the sun rose, the sky was tainted red, and the day is remembered as The Red Dawn. What makes these events even more unique, was the discovery of spell weaving. Nearly a century before the events of The Red Dawn, unknown forces near the shores of Kraestrat caused a disturbance in the oceans.
