From Sanctuary Shard

Revision as of 20:22, 26 July 2019 by MamaWillow (talk | contribs)

This skill works like Carpentry on Grimmwold.

Overview

  • Should function the same as the skill on OSI with the following exceptions. Please update this page if you find a discrepancy.
  • You must tailor near a tailoring dummy or inside a shop that is owned or co-owned by you or that you are a friend of.
  • Items take longer to craft as per the Crafting Design document.
  • SE Items have been removed
  • ML Items are not yet implemented
  • Magical items that are craftable at the current immersion level are: footwear that increases movement speed (91.4 tailoring), arcane clothing, Robe of Shadows and flying carpets (91.4 tailoring). Other magical tailoring items are reserved for later immersions, town upgrades and/or book skills.

Items requiring special resources are reserved for later immersion, town upgrades, book skills and/or special quests.

  • You can obtain bandages by using scissors on cut-up cloth.
  • By using scissors on pieces of clothing, you can obtain a piece of cut-up cloth the same color as the piece of clothing was.
Update 12/28/07
Pillows and Curtains added.
Spinning and Weaving
  • The amount of time and resources used for spinning and weaving have been changed.
  • Double click the spinning wheel FIRST (not the flax/cotton/wool) to spin.
  • Spinning wheels and looms helps to increase the tailoring skill.
Leather working
You can make any of the leather armor, or items with any of the leathers available. It will indicate on the recipe whether the item will retain the leather color or not. There is a link to the page that lists the special properties of all upgrade materials for both tailoring and blacksmithing.

Magical Tailoring

Once you have 80 Tailoring you can purchase the book "The Art of Magical Tailoring" from one of the Master NPCs. The book costs 10k.

Once you have learned magical tailoring you may use an arcane gem on an exceptionally crafted robe, thigh boots or cloak to make Arcane clothing. (Unlike OSI, the arcane items on Grimmwold do not have the arcane art for the clothing item.)

Arcane items allow you to cast without reagents, but takes a charge off the item.

Also allows the crafting of fast speed shoes/boots, which allows the wearer to move as fast as if they were mounted. Available in shoes, thigh boots, sandals and boots. Fast feet shoes are craftable via the normal crafting menu if you have the Magical Tailoring book skill and requires an arcane gem.

Flying carpets can also be crafted with this book skill, and require an arcane gem.

Robe of Shadows will not be available.

Wide Loom Weaving

Once you have 80 Tailoring you can get the book "The Wide Loom and You". This allows you to craft rugs and tapestries. This requires a Wide Loom (placed by GMs), and a wide loom shuttle, created by tinkers.
