:The Valdrdómr worship Fenrir and Odin above all else. An interesting combination considering both Gods have been shown to be in opposition. Like Odin, the Valdrdómr seek knowledge—in particular why they have been chosen to inhabit this new world—and are determined to gain it by any means necessary. They also show devotion to Fenrir, who is often depicted as a monstrous wolf, because while knowledge is valued and sought, those of the Valdrdómr recognize something primal and reckless (that often cannot be ignored), lives within all men and women. Additionally, they often compare themselves to the great wolves Odin has; Geri (the greedy one), and Freki (the ravenous one), since they are both greedy and ravenous for glory.

Revision as of 01:16, 4 October 2019

The Valdrdómr is a marauding/pirating group. More in line with cunning and clever actions than simple brute force. Having spent the better part of the last few years raiding surrounding territories and demanding the loyalty of lesser houses, they have risen in both notoriety and fame.

House Leader
House Leader: Audolfr (Felix)
House Members
Dalilja Morskaia, Brea Wynne Wistari, Hrabane Mythalvian, Goibne, Amarvel, Gwyn.
And anyone else that would be interested. In particular we are interested in having a couple of people on board to play a role as a spiritual advisor and a ground unit leader of some kind. We are very interested in hearing people's ideas for these roles and are open to other positions as well.
How to contact us
If you are interested and would like to chat please contact Daisy, Lara, or Felix in discord.
Events
Though some events are political in nature (such is the name of the game), many do often start as a means to decompress and have fun. It really is not our fault if our friendly events often lead towards tense exchanges.
Current Status
At present Valdrdómr, has not decided if it will swear allegiance to Miðrvegr or Kraestret.

Membership Target
We are happy to take anyone who wants to feel part of a group (wolf-pack mentality), who enjoys conflict role-play and can keep the drama in-character. Above else we just want to be able to have fun together, hunt and pillage and celebrate with ale afterward. Daisy tells me to say "think House Stark hopefully without the red wedding", whatever that means lol.
Knowing Daisy and myself's proclivity to stealth as well as the houses focus on clever and cunning actions, character templates of that nature would work well. However, we don't want to limit it and really would love anyone who is interested to participate in the house.
Gods
The Valdrdómr once worshiped Fenrir and Odin above all else. An interesting combination considering both Gods were in perpetual opposition. Through the course of their time in this new realm, members however, made their choice quelling those who would oppose the shift and ultimately, expelling Odin the deceiver—and in turn offering allegiance to a God who does not abandon but foster—Yrsa.

The Valdrdómr, are the untamed, the children of Fenrir. They something primal and reckless (that often cannot be ignored), lives within all men and women.

Story

Gorm pressed a gloved finger to his lips, silencing Njal. Noticing the swaying movement of their prey—the raiders who had dared to demand they renounce their new ideals and beliefs or else perish—they waited patiently by the shadows. Soon, one-by-one, men and women fell.

“Stupid bastards, they took the bait and drank the mead we gifted them.” Njal, said as he lumbered out of the bushes which had kept him hidden.

Gorm, and the rest who had ventured from the safety of the fortress Nonjborg, to pursue the marauders emerged as well, swords in hand.

“Best kill em quickly,” Again, Njal spoke. “I saw only one of their ships docked towards the East, the rest of em may come upon us if we linger.”

Njal raised his sword, though before the blade could cut through the wind and claim the life of his foe, the “sleeping” man on the floor swung his own blade, severing Njal’s leg.

Gorm was quick to act, striking a defensive pose to defend against the opposition as the bodies of the enemy stood, but he was surrounded and soon he found himself disarmed. Those that thought themselves predators had always been nothing more than prey.

“You should have heeded our warning.” A man with a deep scar across his face, said to Gorm.

“At the very least, yeh should have been smart enough not to leave yer kin defenseless,” muttered another, as he wiped his blade clean on the clothing of corpse. “If the fortress has not fallen yet, it will by the morrow.”No more words needed to be said. The Miðrvegrians of Nonjborg shouldn’t have renounced the old ways, the old Gods; they should have given the Valdrdómr their loyalty. For now, those that would survive the raid on Nonjborg, would surely become slaves to the Valdrdómr.
