Lore

You can include anything else in here that you like; suchas the name of your castle, what your colors are, who's in charge of what.

Many dragons feel reduced, reborn into this world, often smaller, lacking proper flight and without the powerful magic abilities they have come to rely on. Hailing from worlds in which they may have been hunted for a hero’s glory; this feeling of decline may have existed for a very long time on their own worlds. They we’re once powerful and have the right to have that status back!

Here on Cuivienen they have a proper chance of regaining that power and lost greatness together. This is not without struggle, having often lived lives of solitude, hoarding personal wealth and territory the Children of Io are often pocketed with periods of internal strife. The darker spirited dragons often struggle with their new place in this world, having to rely on others and treat those they viewed as lesser or even food as equals.

Those that rise above their vices and natures end up leading the Children of Io; shaping and defending this new age of Draconian culture.

Established by Dragons from other worlds within the last ten years, the Children of Io, also known as the Council of Asgorath dug themselves into the Northern city of Andalstad by slowly nudging out the leadership of that great city and replacing them. It was their first move on an Arcanum Crystal and till this day hold it in great reverence; feeling the power growing in them through the grace of Io.

What God or Goddess are you hoping to place on the Arcanum Crystal?
The Children of Io seek to spread the influence of Io across the face of Cuivienen to change the future for all Dragon-kind. The power of the Arcanum Crystals will thrum with his power, granting them once again the size, power and flight that even the smallest fairy dragon craves within their heart of hearts.
Io, occasionally known as Asgorath or Asgoroth, is a neutral primordial over-deity, father to dragon gods and is worshipped across many a world by other names. An entity of seemingly conflicting motivations and alignments, known for doing either very little or a whole lot depending on the incarnation. Anyone who views dragons with awe or wishes to imitate them can turn to Io for guidance and strength.
Although Dragons in their own right, Jormungandr and Ancalagon who form the world here are viewed by many of the Children to just be another pair of Primoridal children of Io.
Membership Target
Generally Dragons who have come to this world weakened/smaller/different and are seeking out their former strength, size, ability to fly. Our organization however extends itself to other Draconic creatures, draconic humanoids, lizardmen, gargoyles, imps, anything missing their power, size or status; lost from another life - seeking it from the power of Io. Possibly anyone who wishes to see Dragons rule across the lands, even men and elves, if they come from a world where they were once allies, mounts or had similiar bonds of companionship.
Although without many of their gifts, Io in his greatness granted these new children the gift of transfiguration (.shapechange to a dragon or other form); allowing them to take the shape of a humanoid. Some enjoy keeping their Dragon persona separate from their humanoid form; taking on a different name entirely to use with these smaller folk while they walk among them. Others flaunt this ability, the choice is up to you the player.

Story

A young white dragon soars above the landscape on a moon-lit evening, riding the chilled winds above it's northern territory. Crystals of frozen water vapor dance through the air like fire flies as it dives; sweeping but twenty feet above the rocky shoreline, waves off the lake crashing and rocking bleached driftwood. With each downward stroke of it's wings the water breaks flat, disrupting the natural ebb and crash of the shore. Purple eyes are briefly covered by a translucent membrane as the creature blinks to clear it's vision.

Letting out a massive roar as it approaches the village of fishermen, some still in the process of processing their late catch. Not as a statement of threat, but as one of posturing, declaring her power, her right, her grandeur. Always watching; always above their simple lives of toil. It's belly is full of venison. It has no need of their fish or their lives but their attention and sharp fearful squeals as they shuffle into their hovels, itches another need deep within.

As the shadow of it fully passes over the village it twists a grin inward, feeling at peace. Banking for north, silent now, enjoying the crystal clear evening, it follows the shore, making for it's den and clutch of eggs.

The Aelfeyn woman, pale of skin, startles awake in her fur covered bed, covered in calmly cold sweat. Her purple eyes are wide as she looks about the small room, dying embers send wisps of wood smoke traveling up a chimney but these fail to warm her or the room. The condensation from each breath, escaping her lips brings her to tears as her memories take her back to the dream and of a home far, far away.

She quickly climbs out of bed, naked, kneeing with forehead prostrated against the chilled stone floor. Silent prayers begin to Io, the All Father in earnest; begging him to see her brood once more. Her own power and majesty forgotten for the moment, like the passing dream...
