An entity of untold power and age, the Crimson Queen is rumored to be responsible for the subjugation of dozens of worlds spanning through time and space immemorial. Her great and terrible power is garnered through a singular method; the despoiling of faith and religion wherever it may exist. By pursuing the desecration and eventual nullification of metaphysical deities within a plane of existence that the Queen graces, she is, through a means unknown to that of mere mortals, capable of consuming these fallen deities and add to her own insatiable lust for power. With every fallen god and goddess her followers help banish to obscurity, the Desecrator becomes stronger, eventually amassing enough power to destroy her rival power – and thus inheriting their divine supremacy. With this infusion of strength, the Queen is able to further her agenda by bestowing rewards to her followers in the form of esoteric knowledge, secrets of the arcane, and at times, immortality itself. With this knowledge and freedom from mortality, her most devout followers, known as the Imperium Saecularia, are free to wage war upon the religions of a world, thus furthering the vicious cycle. | ||
