From Sanctuary Shard

Revision as of 18:46, 23 June 2019 by MamaWillow (talk | contribs) (Bowcrafting or Enhancing with Advanced Woods)

Bow Craft This should function just like the skill on OSI with the following exceptions. Please update this page if you find a discrepancy.

Stratics Page

You must be near a tillering board to make items with bow craft. There is a tillering board in the crafting area. Items take longer to craft as per the Crafting Design document. SE Items have been removed ML Items are not yet implemented Items requiring special resources are reserved for later immersion, town upgrades, book skills and or special quests. Fletchers will now receive 4 shafts per log when making shafts. Fletchers will now receive 2 arrows per crafting cycle instead of one, but it will also use 2 shafts per cycle [edit] Craftable Items

Bowcrafting or Enhancing with Advanced Woods

Different woods can used to create bows or staves using the Tree Whispering book skill of Lumberjacking. While it requires lumberjacking skill to harvest advanced woods, it only takes bowcrafting to craft with them. Bows can either be first crafted with ordinary wood and then enhanced, or just straight crafted from the advanced wood.

Uncrafted bows gained as loot can be enhanced, but bowcrafting enhancements run the same risk as it does with smithing - the item can be lost in the process. Failure rates (which will destroy the item selected for enhancement) when enhancing with GM Bowcrafting are estimated at 50%, with a likely fail rate of 75% for Elder and Fir, and 80% for Winged Spindle (luck). For our mathematicians, that gives a potential crafter less than a 7% chance to craft an exceptional winged spindle great bow!

Wood Type Skill required Wood Properties Equivalent Ore Seed Color Wood Location Failure Rate
Rose 65% 100% Physical, +100 Durability, -50 required Str Dull Copper Red North of Briar Hollow 55%

Juniper 80% 60% Physical, 40% Fire Bronze Bright Red D ark Forest 45%
Winged Spindle 85% 100% Physical, +40 Luck Gold Bright Yellow Hills of Dana/Liche Pit 80%
Witch Hazel 90% 50% Physical, 30% Cold, 20% Energy Agapite Purple Moors/Centaur Camp 50%
Elder 95% 40% Physical, 40% Poison, 20% Energy Verite Orange Sylvan Meadows 75%
Fir 99% 40% Physical, 10% Fire, 20% Cold, 10% Poison, 20% Energy Valorite Green NE Hamelin 75%
Side note
While Bark and Leaf armor can be made with bowcrafting, BARK armor cannot be enhanced at all period, Leaf armor requires ingots, making it strangely only enhanceable by blacksmiths. -Edit- At current, neither Bark nor Leaf armors may be enhanced.

[edit] Bowcrafting Black Slayer Bows Black slayer bows have all the same stats as a standard short bow and cannot be enhanced. Special short bows (that appear exactly like normal ones, but with a higher strength requirement) can be looted from the corpses of Jukas. Double click the bow while in your pack and target a gear (which are crafted by Tinkers). This will create a black slayer bow with a randomized slayer property. This crafting does not use an in-game menu or GUI, but does require GM Bowcrafting.
