Aelfeyn.jpg

The Aelfeyn consider themselves the first race, though they are not the only who claim such. In the lore of the various dimensions, they are known by many other names; the Alfar, the Trow, the Gentry, the Children of Dana, Trooping Fairies, Vanyarin, Court Fey, The Eldar and the Avari, High Elves, Snow Elves, and by dozens of other names from hundreds of other worlds.

When one of the Aelfeyn return to Sanctuary, which they call Cuiviénen, they immediately understand their origins. They know that they are created of darkness and light, of water and earth, and that all of the children were once one, and though they may be divided by goals in this life, they are the chosen.

Limitation
All Aelfeyn become weakened around burial sites.
Physical Traits
Taller than the average human
Usually thin
Hair grows quickly
Unusual eye color
Graceful
Shapechange
Unlike Muiri, the Aelfeyn's natural form is always humanoid; but many have gained the ability to shape shift into other natural animal forms, primarily birds and mammals. Some Muiri dragons may appear similar to Aelfeyn in their glamoured form, but the relationship is not even skin-deep. (See exception below)
Subraces
This category is for the races of people who are seen as being more than human, and are generally considered to be tall, elegant, with long hair and unusual eyes.
  • Alfar of Norse myth, aka Snow Elves or Grimmwold's Trow
  • Tuatha de Dannan of Irish myth (aka Sidhe, Aos Si, and Daoine Dìth)
  • Tolkien's elves
  • Dark Elves
  • Elven-style races who born Aelfeyn and then become dragons in later years are considered Aelfeyn and not "true" dragons like those of the Muiri or Hoggur dragons.
