| Spiritual Baths
If you have come to this page, you have likely been prescribed a
spiritual bath by me. This page contains some simple baths that you
can make yourself, with either ingredients you find at home or can
get easily at the super market.
This page is written up using the simplest and
most easy to acquire ingredients. These baths and accompany rituals
are often prescribed using more expensive ingredients, which are
believed to be more effective, as they are cumulative. However,
alot can be done even with what is listed here.

Custom
Prescribed Herbal Bath
If you have been given an herbal bath recipe by
Lara, you should know the following.
- Unless otherwise directed use between ½
tablespoon and full tablespoon of each of the herbs. Heat
approximately two cups of water on the stove or in the microwave
and make a tea with the herbs. Let that steep for about 10 mins.
Strain out the herbs. Use this in the bath.
- If you only have an even number of herbs,
add ½ cup of salt (table salt, kosher salt, Epson salts are all
fine) to make an odd number.
- If you are using fresh herbs, remember to
pick the herbs in the morning when the essential oils are
strongest on the plants. A small handful of the leaves are
fine.
How To
A spiritual bath is supposed to be taken at
dawn. If for any reason you cannot take the bath at dawn you may
take the bath at sundown. Add the ingredients from one of the above
recipes into a full tub of hot bath water. Make sure the water is
hot enough to dissolve the mineral salts. Bathe with downward
strokes to take off jinxes and crossed conditions as if you were
washing things away. Bathe with upward strokes to draw in love and
luck.
I suggest you sit down in the bathtub and scoop
the water with your hands up over your head as if you were baptizing
your self. Then, continue scoping the water onto your chest and
down your arms. Get up on your knees, and wash down from your waist
to your pelvis and the top of your thighs. Then stand, and wash
from your thighs down to your feet.
For a drawing bath, reverse the above.
At this point step out of the bath tub onto a
clean dry towel. Allow yourself to drip dry, do not towel off. It
would be best if you had two white candles to step between as you
left the bath tub; either on the edge of the bath tub or on the
floor on either side of the towel. The candles can be anointed with
any oil agreed upon with Lara, or simply with Olive Oil, or any
cooking oil if that’s all you have. If you have been
prescribed any incense, you would also light it at this time.
At this point you would read the prescribed
psalm or make your own prayer or petition, while you drip dry.
Speak out loud with strength and determination. Following this dress in CLEAN clothes only.
Most baths are done over 3, 7, 9 or 13 days. If the situation
is dire enough and you have been recommended to repeat this bath,
then pinch out the candles, do not blow them out. Otherwise,
simply let them burn down.
(Any kind of small white candle will do,
birthday candles, little tea lights, small votives or even best
Sabbath candles if you can get them.)
