- Zuberi wear a selection of clothing native to Arabic, Indian, Egyptian
and Mongolian countries. Zuberi love colors, especially rich pastels
and jewel tones. Zuberi are always dressed modestly in public and
especially in the Sun. However, the Zuberi are not body conscious, and
will wear much less in private. [read more on

- Like all cultures, a wide range of trades exist. Some of the more
Zuberi specific trades would include rug makers, basket weavers, perfumers
and scribes. Herding is one of the most common Zuberi trades. [read

- Zuberi eat a variety of foods that would be native to a desert society.
The food of the Shaula (bedouin folk) is less rich and designed to last a
long time. The food of the Jabbah, city dwelling folk, is richer as
they have more access to the fertile flood plains along the river, and the
cool Gahrahn Hills. [read more on food]
- There are a variety of Zuberi specific classes that can be role-played
by both mages and fighters. This is not necessarily the definative list.

- The one over riding perception of the Zuberi people by others is that
they are polite and conservative. And while it is true that the
culture is defined with a THICK veneer of social customs, such as the
bond of salt, saving
face, and purity, the Zuberi are a
passionate and volatile people. Perhaps this is why the customs of
polite behavior are so strongly ingrained in their culture. [read more on

- Zuberi are dark skinned, dark haired and dark eyed. [physical

- Zuberi ride a breed of horse called the Ibn'Kamil, keep different breeds
of dogs, and consider horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and camels to be the

- The kingdom of Zuben is mostly sand interspersed with oasis and home to

- The Zuberi have been traditionally ruled by a Priest King, however since
the most recent Year of Sundering, the kingdom is now ruled by a Padishah
who is chosen by Acrab.. [government]
- The Jabbah of Arjat, live in the City or the small surrounding villages.
The typically live in homes of sand stone or light brown-orange river stone.
The Shaula of the desert live in round hide yurts or hand made tents.

- The most common hostiles found in Zuben are the insectiod Tssy'Szasch of the south-eastern boarder, the
Red Scorpion Gang to the south west, and the Damned and Dishonored of the

- The Zuberi speak Comran (english) interspersed with a variety of native

- Music, calligraphy, scroll painting, mosaics, and dance are popular
forms of art in Zuben. [art]

- Gambling is common in both Arjat and the desert. Some Zuberi do
not drink alcohol for religious reasons, most other drink in moderation.
Recreational drugs can be acquired in Arjat, however the Shaula only use
drugs for religious or medicinal purposes. [drugs

- Family is important to the Zuberi. They trace their family lines
thru the Shajaratu-n-Nasab, also known as the tree of inheritance. [family]
- The traditions of Hospitality, the bond of salt and the social
traditions of the Dewaniah, are some of the most critical aspects of Zuberi

- The Zuberi have a low infant mortality and celebrate both men and
woman's coming of age. Marriage is traditionally arranged, while
divorce among the city folks (Jabbah) is rare yet it is socially acceptable
among the desert folk (Shaula). Polygamy is accepted, and the traditions for
death are complex and highly ritualized. [life

- Slavery is acceptable in Zuben. There are two types of slaves.
The Rasa, who are born into slavery, and the Al'Misam who are made slaves
for criminal behavior. [slaves]
- Honor and Purity are two of the hall marks of the social standards in
Zuben, for both men and women. [traditions]
Zuben is a male dominated society where women respect the decisions of their
fathers and husbands. The social obligations of the culture are heavy,
and a man is not just required to safeguard his own honor, but also that of

- The god of the Zuberi is Acrab, the Scorpion King. His religious
