Meats can be salted and dried for the winter to come, or kept in a locked box outside to keep the animals from getting to it, but keeping the meat frozen and fresh. The Skoll tend to eat more meats and dairy as they have little access to fresh crops. Meals are eaten with the entire family. The eldest of the family leads them in thanking Yrsa. There is as much talking as there is eating during meals. Most things are eaten with bare hands and talking with a full mouth is never a rude thing to do. Valgarins tend to avoid the use of spice where ever possible as they like to be able to taste the food that Yrsa has blessed them with, and because of the over seasoning of the foods during the winter months. |
