Creation Myth

It is said that when Yrsa brought the people to these lands she had to best two fearsome beings, Borath the lord of giants even older then the mountains themselves, who's touch is like the coldest of winter, and still holds the northern parts in his icy grip. Yrsa tricked him to let her pass through the mountains and he has not forgiven her or her people for it. Some say she lured him with more then words, but that is generally only jested about.

The second was a great and fearsome serpent who threatened the lands. The Serpent is called Ji’Ran by the Valgarins and was thrown into the sea by Yrsa after a great struggle, there she now lies thirsting for the blood of sailors and is the bane of any seafarer as she lures them into the deep with her calls.
