Application and Contact Page

Thank you for your interest in applying to the Comraich Shard. The
application process can be lengthy and there is a lot of information to
read. Hopefully this page should help guide you thru the process:
Entrance
Requirements for Players

This is a Relaxed Role-Play Shard, not a PvP, PK, or
power gaming shard.

We are not a
Hard-Core shard, though hard-core gamers are welcome as long as they respect
that not everyone else is.

We are not a
Free-Form role-play shard. Applicants must be prepared to play within
the cultures provide. We have attempted to provide as much flexibility
as possible, but there will be things that are not acceptable.

This is an adult’s ONLY shard, anyone under 17 who wishes to
play here must have parental consent. (This means a telephone call to
your parents -- no exceptions.) Please don't lie to get on the shard,
honesty is as always the best policy.

Step Two - Creating your
Character
The cultures provided for Comraich offer a great deal of
detail that can be used as a role play tool. However, as Comraich is a
relaxed role-play shard, we do not expect new applicants to know the
cultures inside and out to apply.
The table below provides links to what we believe are the
bare minimums for a player to get a feel for the race for which they are
applying.
Please be advised that the more complex the character you
are creating the more of the race pages you should read. We try to
give new applicants the benefit of the doubt, and understand that they will
learn more once they get in game. But there are some things that
simply will not fly. The application team will work let you know if
there is an issue that could seriously hinder your role-play once you get in
game.
Players applying for second/third characters will be
expected to know more of the culture for which they are applying.
Step Three - Choosing an Application
- New Character Application
- Changing a Comraich Character - You do not need to re-apply for
a character if you are changing one Comraich Character to another
Comraich Character. Please just post the character change on
the
GM request boards.
- Applying
for your child. Comraich allows parents who are players to
apply to let their children apply to the shard.
Step Four - Additional Considerations
- Players under the age of 17 maybe accepted, if a phone call to their
parents can be arranged. This is done for a variety of personal
and legal reasons.
- Comraich uses the graphics for Samurai Empire. These means you
will need to either have a copy of Samurai Empire, or have fully patched
to OSI to play here.
Step Five - After your Approved
- Come into IRC and ask a
staff member to create you an account.
