Planting and Harvesting Farmland
Acquiring Farmland
To acquire farm land you must have at least 40 plant harvesting. Each
character can have up to two plots of farmland. Combined the farm land
can not exceed 15x15 which is a total of 225 tiles. To have farm land
created page a GM. There are restrictions as to where farm land can be
placed. The following in a guideline, but all placement of farm land is
at the discretion of the GM. If they say no, no means no.
(Obviously if the GM thinks the place you want it looks stupid, blocks
traffic, roads, or simply seems implausible, you might have your request
denied.)
When having your plot placed, you may choose to have dirt added. The
dirt doesn't actually DO any thing except create a visual effect. If
you are on dial up and worried about lagging, you may wish to not have the
dirt added, please let the GM know this.

Planting Your Farm
To plant your newly acquired farm go to a NPC Farmer and purchase seeds.
All seeds are 50 gold.
To plant the seed, go to your farm land and stand where you want the plant
to grow and double click the seed. This will plant the seed. The
growth rates are slow, so don't expect to see anything happen quickly.
Planting is restricted both by season
and location. Meaning banana's don't grow in Telrae'dor no matter where
you are. And even in Bishani, banana trees can only be planted in the
seasons of Shewan and Hyrde. Click here to
see a list of plants by region and their planting seasons. To see what
season you are in type .time, and then check the
season page to see when the planting
seasons for your plants will come around.
Only you can plant your farm land, no
exceptions.
Harvesting your Farm
Once your plants have grown fully and
the correct harvesting season for the plants has come around you may now begin
to harvest your plants. Click here to
see a list of plants and their harvest seasons. You may only harvest
plants in their harvest seasons. However during that season you may
harvest quite a bit, the plants will continue to "respawn" during that time
period.
To harvest the plant, use your plant
harvesting skill and target the plant.
Some plants die at the end of their
harvest season and you will need to replant them.
Other players CAN harvest your
fields! However when they do so, they are given a yes/no window that
says "This is not your farm land, do you have permission to harvest?". We
thought about putting in a complex "friend" system for fields but felt it was
probably unnecessary in our community. However, please note,
harvesting farmland where you do NOT have permission to do so constitutes
stealing. Stealing can get your banned from the shard.

Trees
Use your plant harvesting skill on most trees on Comraich will allow those
with Plant Harvesting to collect regular wood logs. You must have an axe
equipped in your hand. These logs can be used to craft all of the
current carpentry items. Many of those items can then be further dyed with
a Furniture Dye tub, which offers a basic selection of colors, much like
common stains and wood paints.
Exotic Woods
{ List of Exotic Woods }
A more rare selection of exotic wood colors have been added to the shard in
conjunction with Plant Harvesting. These woods are much harder to detect as
they are commonly mistaken for common wood, thus they are harvested as
common lumber destroying the natural grain and color of the item. However,
those with high enough plant harvesting skill will be able to detect these
exotic trees and have a chance of properly harvesting the beautiful woods.
It is a tedious process and there is no guarantee that you will harvest
anything but raw lumber in your attempt.
However if you are successful at determining the exotic tree and carefully
harvesting the wood, you will find beautifully colored boards in your pack
that can be used to craft wood items in these rich rare natural colors.
The skill check for correctly identifying an exotic wood is 100, meaning
anyone with a skill of 80 to 120 has a chance of identifying an exotic
tree.
