Cheat Sheet
Cheat Sheet Still partially in progress:
- Warriors: The Jillhani are in no way samurai or ninja. While the
warriors of the race follow a similar code to the code of bushido, followed
by the samurai, we are not like them.
- Natami: The Jillhani noble houses have a sacred stone which is
called a natami. It contains the souls of the ancestors of past generations
and is sacred tot he house. the loss of the natami is considered equal to a
great loss of honor and Ji'Kalna will disfavor to house to lose theirs until
recovered and proper rituals done to regain honor and standing. The natami
stones are 5 of 7 pieces broken from the ancient tablet that was given to
the Jillhani by their goddess.
- Worship: The Jillhani worship the goddess Ji'Kalna. and through
that many worship one of her aspects (also known as faces). each aspect
represents something and all major houses follow one of her major aspects.
(see guild boards to read on which house follows what aspect to find a
suiting one for your character and RP if you wish to join one.)
- Leadership: The Jillhani are rued by the Emperor [PC] and a
Naidaiijin [PC] ( all listed with brief information on the open applications
page under Jillhani creation guide) with counsel and input on Ji'Kalna's
support on the issues by the temple head.
- Guilds: There are a number of Bishani guilds for the noble
houses, Ji'Ken villages and merchants, etc. Check the Guild boards for the
current list of active Bishani guilds.
- Sub-groups: The Jillhani have many sub-groups in which one could
be part of the add yet another facet to one's character and RP. The primary
divisions being the three groups of Ji'Ken, Ji'Coi and Ji'Mal. On the
immediate surface it would appear to be river folk, merchants, and nobles.
Their religious beliefs, lifestyle and the like vary as much as the faces of
Ji'Kalna herself. For a more in-depth overview please take a look here:
Home Page.
- Language: The Jillhani language as well as any language presented
here on Comraich, is encouraged but not required. It contains a combination
of Japanese, Chinese, Korean and even some Mayan. It is merely an rp tool to
add a hint of exotic to the culture. For more information I recommend you go
to language and terms.
- The Jillhani Assassins: They are honorable in their ways contrary
to any other assassins you may have seen in AD&D , Diablo, or any other
shard out there or game. Detailed information can be found on them in the
boards. If you would like more detailed information on Jillhani Assassins,
and cant find it on the provided sources, make sure to come in chat and ask
questions. There are a few that play an assassin currently that will be glad
to help you, as well as a current Jillhani assassin guild.
- Criminals and outcasts: The Jillhani criminal and outcasts are
amongst the hardest to play in Comraich due tot the nature of banishment.
Once one is banished he or she may not return to the lands unless pardoned
by the Emperor or the one who banished the person. See this link for more
details on the Outcasts and banished .
- Clothing and dress attire: While we are very elegant in
appearance, dress and manners, we do not spend as much effort towards
fashion like the Dyrlings. Everything we wear is based on functionality,
while maintaining the elegant and powerful look associated with a Jillhani.
The Ji'Ken usually choose to wear simple leather creations to bare their
often intricately detailed tattoos. Their hair is frequently worn long and
loose or simply tied back away from the face. On occasion painted silken
robes or gowns and sandals are worn for holidays or other special events.
For further information on the dress attire of the Jillhani refer to this
link: Clothing.
- Interactions: The Jillhani are a very formal race. Their lives
revolve around family and personal honor. the Ji'Mal usually talk about
things related to their house, status or accomplishments. the Ji'Coi have a
less heavy conversation encompassed mostly about daily happenings of the
lands as well as their trade related issues and accomplishments. The Ji'Ken
have the liveliest and less burdened conversation of all ranging from
intellectual conversation to talking about the best fishing spot. nobles
will occasionally travel to other noble houses.
- Life: Jillhani CAN live to about 170, but it is a rare thing that
any make it that far. The harsh weather environments they are subject to and
the food supplies being very poor make them prone to illnesses. Out of the
four races , it would have to be said that Jillhani have it the worst when
it comes to diseases.
- Origins of the Jillhani culture in general: We are a mixture of
Indian, Mongolian, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese Cultures. We have taken
from all these what we like and adapted it how we see fit to our visions of
the race. If you see things in the websites or contents that you feel don't
match the race you think it's drawn from it's because it's meant to be that
way.
