Art & LiteratureTheatreThere are two forms of acting in the Jillhani, the formal and the informal. See the oriental versions of this for more detail. (do a web search, we will give them names once we decide.) PoetryPoetry is popular among the Jillhani, and like theater there are two forms, simple and the complex. The complex form of poetry harkens to the works of Te Ny Llan and his primary work the Di Hausu. JugglingStreet walkers who perform juggling are common on the mountain and less by the river. DancingTwo types of dance are also practiced among the Jillhani, one is a version of the Zuberi belly dance and can be both sensual and coarse. The advanced form of dance is more a mix of oriental kata's and dance. This last is only performed at highly formalized events or in the private of a nobles home. The Ji'Ken practice a more aboriginal style of dance that is both beautiful and ritualistic. Drums play a heavy part of this kind of dancing. StorytellingAmong the Ji'Ken (river people) the art of storytelling has developed to its finest form and even the Ji'Mal and Ji'Coi will seek out the best of the Ji'Ken story tellers for events and parties. However these storytellers are not entranced by the lure of gold. Musical InstrumentShamisen - The Shamisen looks like a banjo with a long neck, and is typically played in theaters or by story tellers.
Bells - Used to enhances the flow of chi energy and attract Good Fortune and in the art of Feng Shui.
Gongs
Flute
Drums - The largest of the drums are called Raion (lion) Drums and are very similar to Kodo Drums. Ji'Ken drums are more similar to Conga drums.
