Geography
The Lion kingdom is very much your typical fairy tale forest feel. The bulk
of the kingdom, even right up to the walls of the city is forest. The villages
are in clearings in the forest. The outer great forest along the boarder is dark
and gloomy. I'd actually like a better "land tile" for inside a heavily
populated forest. Dirt roads and paths lead from one village to another, and the
only paved roads are in the city. The city is also on a river and is used mostly
just for the transporting of goods. However the river is very wide and all but
the largest ships can navigate the deep river. The villages are comprised of
small two story homes mostly of Tudor and river stone combinations in one place,
and wooden planks in another place. I really really want a much nicer wooden
plank wall, we need to do some research on building types in the south of France
during medieval times. Each village should have some type of larger stone keep
or manor house. The forests in the kingdom are filled with mythical creatures
(but minus all the Celtic spirituality, just fantasy creatures), little goblins
living under fallen trunks, water nymphs in pools. The land is incredibly
fertile with wide fields for farming. They keep a few animals, but most of the
menu is plants. They import some of the larger meats from the snow people and
trade back their harvestable items. The city is awash with banners and shields,
and narrow square towers. They breed a very hardy war horse. Other animals bred;
