Must Dos
- You either are from a known region, or are of the
Sora'nau.
- We are all "Athlendyr's Children." We've avoided many of the battles of
other races because we're all Kin. Not that we feel superior about it . . or
that we'd admit it anyway . .
- Have a respect for life. It is a central cultural point.
- Must follow the accepted physical description for the race.
- If a new player is wanting to play an evil char then they should wait
for their second char. As the potential for perma death is there (with
Dyrlings).
Can't Dos
- Your town of origin cannot have been "burned to the ground with only one
survivor" Part of a Sora'Nau camp MIGHT have been, but never the entire
Camp.
A Pard might however (and eventually will) lose his Mentor.
- Cannot openly play a Necromancer.
- Cannot play an Athiest. If you have doubts of faith they cannot be of
the "Athlendyr does not exist" nature.
- No orphans. It is absolutely, physically impossible to have an orphaned
Dyrling. Considering the importance of family to them as a whole, and the
general size of Dyrling families, it is impossible because there will always
be SOMEONE who is SOMEHOW related to you, who can and will take you in and
raise you as their own child. The only way to be an orphan as a Dyrling
would be for some horrible plague to come in and destroy... well,
everything. It wouldn't happen. (I'm sure this is on there already
somewhere, but I have seen many applicants come in and say they are orphans
whose parents were killed by orcs or something, so I suggested it just to be
sure.)
Perma Death
- A serial killer will result in perma death no way around it.
- Even a first time deliberate evil act may result in permadeath depending
on the situation in question. (yes that is a disclaimer in there mixed with
some discretionary power for the staff and player head, but some acts can be
so malicious that they end it there and then, however unlikely. This
tempered with the Dyrling love of life.)
Things that may get you in trouble
- Role playing that you turned your back on your family. Or hate them ect.
Might not agree with them or like them but you still love them they are
family after all.
