CraftsDyrling crafts are a highly prized commodity in the foreign lands as their works are known not only for their intricate beautiful artwork in their products but the durability and sturdiness of their works as well. Many a craftsman have been left jealous or struck in awe looking upon the quality of a Dyrling pot. This talent in working with materials comes from generations and generations of perfecting even the minute flaws out of the processes. Though this mindset of working items just right in order to attain perfection has removed a lot of the creativity in most works. This has left each piece, while looking nice and working well, appearing much like all the others with very little variance in design. This drives each piece to a cookie-cutter type appearance that is often regarded as "Pretty, but uninteresting". Almost every pot or tool involves at least one pattern or intricate design somewhere on it 'marking' it as Dyrling made. These patterns and artwork will vary from crafter to crafter but to leave them off leaves the other races to wonder about its origins. The Dyrling people take great pride in what they make, seeing to it every object made meets their own personally best standards. Shoddy work would begin to devalue the cultures reputation for well made goods. |
